Who we are Steve Thibodaux, a professional pilot with over 30 years of flying and instructing experience, started Wings-on-Wheels for two main reasons. First, he believes that emphasizing flying skills that can be practiced on the ground will better prepare pilots for actual flight experience. Second, he wants to make ground-based flight instruction more convenient for students who might otherwise find it difficult to schedule classes.
There are many proven benefits of ground-based training, from lower training costs to all-weather availability.
Drawing on his own extensive training and experience, along with a comprehensive library of books, videos, and software, Steve will meet you one-on-one for instruction, either at Wings on Wheels, local airports, or at your home or other location. |
What we want to do With our FAA-approved PC-ATD, you can credit 10 hours of simulator training towards the total hours required for an instrument rating. It is also very helpful in preparing for complex aircraft checkouts or multi-engine ratings. And our exclusive TLAR pitch-planning techniques, which can be applied to any aircraft, can improve the consistency of your instrument flying skills.
No matter what your level of experience, Steve will work with you to customize your syllabus, based on your own goals, as well as the training methods you feel most comfortable with. If you're looking for professional, customized one-on-one instruction, Wings on Wheels delivers! |
| “Knowledge is the foundation on which we build decision-making skills. We gain experience in the cockpit; we gain knowledge on the ground.” |
